I was about to go back to Hoboken that night. That night we went seeing Shayna at one of her shows. Before that we went out to have dinner at this one Malaysian restaurant near Brooklyn bridge. I forgot the name. What I remembered is that we had beef rendang, KANGKUNG BELACAN (that's what's up!) and ikan bilis goreng I guess. So when I was about to take the PATH train back to Hoboken, this one lady was so helpless that she had two big luggages with her and she wanted to take the train too. Since the subway station does not have escalator, I decided to help her out. The worse part is the station was closed and the train won't be stopping there for the night. That is the 14th street station. I decided to walk with the lady to the 9th street station because she definitely needs another person to carry her bags. By the way, I have no idea how she got there. I guess she took a taxi. We were fortunate that the station was opened and we took the train back. We had a little chat until I reached Hoboken. When I recall this story, I was thinking about how frequent I offer my help to someone. I mean, every single day, you can turn your deeds to be something useful, helpful, or meaningful to other parties. It's your call! It doesn't matter if it's small or big. And that's make you a better Muslim. Action speaks louder than word. Don't just talk but walk the talk.
p/s: Kadang-kadang aku segan dengan tuhan sebab bile peluang buat baik datang depan mata baru nak buat baik. Tapi aku x carik peluang tu. Seolah macam sebab aku ni alpa sangat sampai tuhan datangkan peluang tu depan mata. tu pun kadang2 x endah. masih leka dengan diri sendiri saja. semoga aku semakin selfless.
